Art is a discipline where you can express and communicate your thoughts and emotions. Here at Art Club, through the varied art activities, we aspire to build confident and creative thinkers. The projects that our members will engage in are a good mix of hands-on (craft work) and also skill-based (sketching using different mediums such as charcoal). Through the process of art-making, we hope to instil patience and resilience in our pupils. They will also be taught the essential skills in setting and curating an exhibition of their own.
Chinese Calligraphy and Ink Brush Painting Club
The Pei Chun Public School Chinese Calligraphy and Ink Brush Painting Club provides a platform for our pupils to learn to appreciate the two Chinese art forms and showcase their artistic talents. The club aims to refine our pupils’ personalities through exposing them to the inherent beauty of Chinese calligraphy and ink brush painting, so as to nurture them to become disciplined, patient and determined learners with a positive outlook in life.
Infocomm Media Club
Infocomm Media Club engages its members in a series of ICT-related activities that enable them to gain info-com skills in a fun and meaningful way and to better appreciate the use of ICT in everyday life. Members are given opportunities to complete and present various projects during the hands-on sessions using digital media and applications (such as movie maker, imovie, 2D & 3D animations).

Science and Gardening Club
The Science and Gardening Club brings the learning of Science beyond the classroom. Pupils learn about the wonders of Science through fun and exciting experiments, mini-research projects, gardening, learning journeys and building inventions. Scientific exploration promotes the development of problem solving skills, recognition of cause and effect, learning through observation and investigations and impacts the pupils’ understanding of their world.
Strategy Board Games
Strategy Board Games aim to teach pupils social skills, such as communicating verbally, sharing, waiting, taking turns and interacting with others. Playing such games can also foster the ability to focus and lengthen a child’s attention span. Some examples of board games are: Chinese Chess, Scrabble, Quarto, Squares.
Learning the basic fundamental of Weiqi is an activity that trains pupils in their analytical skills, as well as to enhance their memory skills. Weiqi also helps pupils to enhance their observation skills, and at the same time, putting pupils’ determination and perseverance to test in face of adversities.
The Brownie pack aims to provide opportunities to develop girls under a Five-Point Program encompassing Personal and social development, Home, Outdoor, Community and International.domains. The girls will go through a series of educational and fun activities during weekly CCA meetings to learn about leading a useful life of upholding the Brownie Motto – LEND A HAND
The CCA aims to provide a disciplined, yet fun, group environment which is intellectually stimulating, physically vital and directed towards molding the cubs into leaders equipped with the necessary skills to face and overcome challenges.
Chinese Dance focuses on the overall development of students. Some benefits of dancing are it increases blood circulation, enhances mobility and flexibility, strengthens muscles and relieves stress. Through the process of dancing, students learn to respect and cooperate with one another. They also learn to appreciate the culture and the various art forms of ethnic Chinese Dance. Under the lead of our dedicated teachers and coaches, our students are learning in a conducive environment and have achieved excellent results in various competitions and a high reputation among the peers.
Pei Chun Chinese Orchestra was formed in 1979. Since then, it has grown from strength to strength. The orchestra has been ranked among the top five primary school Chinese Orchestras in the biannual SYF Central Judging. The orchestra staged 2 public concerts in 2003 and 2007, both of which were well received by all. As we bask in the glory of our achievements, the orchestra will continue its relentless pursuit of excellence, contributing to the musical and aesthetic scene of Singapore.
The school choir comprises singers from Primary 3 to Primary 6. It is a 60-member strong group of choristers, bonded together by sheer enthusiasm and a common love for choral singing. The choir has participated in many performances and has won numerous awards for the school. Every time members take the stage, they blossom with more discipline, confidence, humility and mindfulness. We are looking for enthusiastic singers who share the same passion for singing. Hence, we would like to invite interested pupils from P3 to P5 to join our Pei Chun Choir family. Come audition for a place in choir and pursue your love for singing!
Basketball is a fast-action game with lots of running and jumping, and provides a good physical workout. Playing Basketball helps to build endurance, improves balance and coordination, develops concentration and self-discipline. Under the Talent Identification and Nurturing Programme, Primary 2 pupils who are selected by the Basketball coach will be invited to join the CCA from Primary 3. These pupils will join the training squad with once a week training in Term 1. Training will increase to twice a week after schools competitions. They will have the opportunity to be selected to represent the school in the National Schools Games depending on their skills.
Let’s Play Sport
This CCA provides opportunities for pupils to participate in a variety of sports and recreational activities. Participation in sports and games will help inculcate in them a love for sport from a very young age. Pupils also develop sportsmanship, leadership and decision-making skills. They learn that they have to work together as a team to win a game. They also develop strategic thinking as they consider the best way to get around a player or score a goal.
Playing Table Tennis helps to stimulate the brain and promote quick thinking while improving hand-eye coordination. This is a low-injury risk sport that keeps one fit and flexible. It also increases one’s agility and flexibility. Under the Talent Identification and Nurturing Programme, Primary 2 pupils who are selected by the Table Tennis coach will be invited to join the CCA from Primary 3. These pupils will join the training squad with twice a week training. They will have the opportunity to be selected to represent the school in the National Schools Games depending on their skills. The school has the privilege to engage our ex-olympian gold medallist, Ms Wang Yuegu, as the head coach.
Volleyball is a team sport that requires hand-eye coordination, builds and strengthens muscles. It also builds up sprint speed and agility, improves flexibility of the hands and feet. Under the Talent Identification and Nurturing Programme, Primary 2 pupils who are selected by the Volleyball coach will be invited to join the CCA from Primary 3. These pupils will join the training squad with once a week training in Semester 1. Training will increase to twice a week after schools competitions. They will have the opportunity to be selected to represent the school in the National Schools Games depending on their skills.
Wushu and Lion Dance Troupe
Wushu training instils discipline, respect and obedience. During competitions, pupils develop self-confidence, teamwork and perseverance in the face of challenges and adversities.
The Lion Dance Troupe provides pupils with a penchant for the Chinese Culture to showcase their physical and musical talents. Pupils will also enjoy opportunities to perform together as one when they are engaged in events both in the school as well as in the community.
