课程大纲 Curriculum

小学华文课程的总目标包括:

Curriculum Objectives :

  1. 培养语言能力
    (包括聆听、听说、阅读、写作、口语互动和书面互动六项能力)

To cultivate language skills (listening , speaking, reading, writing and spoken & written interaction skills)

  1. 培养人文素养
    (包括价值观、华族文化、社会知识、关爱意识和环球意识)

To cultivate civic literacy and cultural awareness (values, Chinese culture, social knowledge, awareness of showing care and global awareness)

  1. 培养通用能力
    (包括思维能力、自学能力、社交技能与情绪管理能力、资讯科技运用技能和跨文化沟通技能)

To cultivate general ability (thinking skills, self-directed learning skills, social & emotional learning skills and cross-cultural communication skills)

小学华文课程分为奠基阶段(一至四年级)和定向阶段(小五至小六)。

The primary school Chinese curriculum consists of the foundation stage (Primary 1-4 ) and the orientation stage (Primary 5-6 ).

定向阶段(小五至小六)

综合发展各语言技能,着重口语互动、阅读、写作和书面互动的训练。

Comprehensive development of language skills, focusing on the training of skills in spoken interaction, reading, writing and written interaction.

培养基础阅读和写作(写话、写段)能力,着重聆听、说话和口语互动的训练。

Cultivate basic reading and writing skills (writing words, writing paragraphs), focusing on the training of skills in listening, speaking and spoken interaction.

除了语文的学习,培群也照顾到学生的人文素养。课程包括中华历史课、文化课,还有传统价值观的灌输。有了语文的奠基,升上五、六年级后,学生根据自己的学习能力来自主学习,增加阅读量、拓展阅读面,同时加强写作能力。

Besides the language skills, civic literacy and cultural awareness is incorporated into the curriculum too. This includes lessons on Chinese History, cultural knowledge and moral values. At the Upper Primary, students learn at their own pace whereby they are introduced to various reading materials to enhance their reading skills. With the foundation laid in Lower Primary, writing skills are further developed.

教学 Instruction

为了培养学生的通用能力(包括思维能力、自学能力、社交技能与情绪管理能力、资讯科技运用技能和跨文化沟通技能),华文部以“翻转”教学作为主要的教学法。通过这个教学法,我们希望培养学生的自学能力,让他们能够自学、思考,并清楚、流利地表达。

校方全面推动的 “我爱阅读” 是要提高学生的阅读风气。今年新推出的主题书展,旨在通过展出的书籍、物品等让学生对所设定的主题有进一步的了解及体验,从而鼓励学生多阅读。每个星期有三天的早课,通过生动有趣的教学内容来提高学生对学习华文的兴趣,同时也通过此平台灌输正确的传统价值观。除了重视素养的培训,我校也按照学生的学习特性,设计了写作、口试、阅读、历史课等校本。”华语怎么说” 课程也为学生提供了认识不同区域的语言使用习惯的机会。

To cultivate the students’ general ability ( thinking skills, self-directed learning skills, social & emotional learning skills and cross-cultural communication skills ), Chinese department uses “flip” teaching as the main method of teaching.  Through this method, we hope to cultivate the students’ ability to learn independently, think and express themselves clearly and fluently.

iRead Programme is introduced as a school-wide programme to cultivate students’ reading habit. As a way to encourage students to read, a thematic book fair was organised to provide students with a better understanding and experience of the theme through the books and articles on display. Thrice a week, pre-assembly programmes are conducted to introduce the learning of the Chinese Language and culture in a fun and interesting way and also to instil traditional values. School-based Learning Packages are developed based on the learning needs of the students. Essay Writing Skills, Oral Skills, Reading skills and History lessons are some examples.  “Speaking in Mandarin” programme provides the students with the opportunity to learn about the language usage habits in different regions.

评估与测试  Assessment

培群的语文课通过形成性评估与总结性评估等方式对学生进行综合评估与考核。总结性评估多见于应考准备,考核学生对重要概念的灵活应用的方法。形成性评估则以专题作业、小组或者个人汇报的形式进行。这种考查形式可见于各年级中针对六大语文技能的考查。

Pupils are assessed holistically through formative and summative assessments. The latter is the continual or semestral examinations that the pupils go through. Formative Assessments are used in the different levels whereby language skills are assessed over a period of time under the teachers’ guidance. The types of Formative Assessment could be a task-based assignment, or assessment of oral skills, listening skills etc.
