Bilingual Media Studies Programme (BMSP) : CL Journalism Workshop
Is it common for a journalist to meet up with celebrities while at work? How should news be presented in order to capture the attention of readers? With these questions in mind, a group of 40 Primary 4 and 5 pupils visited the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) on Friday18th Nov and attended a Chinese Journalism Workshop. Under the guidance of a few reporters from “Thumbs Up”, pupils learnt how to write news articles. They also toured SPH to learn more about the work of a reporter as well as the history of the Singapore Chinese press. It was indeed an eye-opening experience for our pupils and they benefited a lot from it. We hope they will be inspired enough to pursue careers in the media, in future.
