Learn a Foreign Language Programme (LFLP) at Pei Chun
On 23 September, officers from the Embassy of Japan visited Pei Chun to introduce the Japanese Language to our P3 and P4 pupils. This is the second year of our collaboration with the Embassy of Japan. Our pupils learnt how to say the numbers in Japanese as well as common greetings and expressions such as ‘Arigato’, ‘Konbanwa’ and ‘Itadakimasu’. The pupils were thrilled to take part in a quiz and won prizes. The school also organized a conversational Japanese course for pupils who were keen to learn the language. Taught by a native speaker, the pupils learnt to say the alphabet, numbers, some vocabulary, simple expressions such as greeting a person and making introductions.
